Wellbeing requires effort everyday.

In 2015 my life changed when I went out for a game of lunchtime indoor football and I got my sixth (out of eight) concussion. Until then I thought a concussion was a thing that made you feel off for a few days - little did I know the life changing consequences. As a woman, it’s also been a journey to manage TBI and women’s health challenges.

Since then I’ve been on a journey of self discovery and healing.

Below is a little about the different things I’ve learned along the way.

Healing my body

Any kind of mental or physical injury manifests in your body - you may have heard the phrase “your body keeps the score”. My body has been through a lot physically and mentally. Over the years I’ve rehabilitated and managed lots of pain, here is a bunch of things I’ve tried and learned.

Healing my mind and soul

Following my injury I had a real identity crisis. I’ve been on a journey to discover who I am, how I react and cope with things as well as various tools to help me on my way. This is a bunch of stuff I’ve come across that has helped my mind and soul.
